Energy

Many investors believe there is gold in being economical. They see a sunny future for firms that generate power from solar panels, wind turbines and so on. After all, their fuel is free and generating on very low costs, on the other hand the bills of power stations that run on coal and natural gas are high and rising.

More countries are turning towards the same approach, towards a more environmental friendly world, not only due to the high prices of oil and the high inflation which is actually affecting all business's out there but also because governments are paying subsidies to help countries with these type of things.

RusHydro, is a partly state-owned company that owns most of Russia’s hydroelectric plants. Its capacity, of 25 gigawatts (GW), makes it the largest power-generation firm in Russia and its also one of the lowest cost firms in Russia. Its also planning on investing lots of money on new dams around Russia for more hydropower, but is this really what we want to see? Huge superpowers such as Russia (which is ironically rich in oil) turning towards the more "environmental friendly" ideas? Yes, this is the change we want to see.

IPC

I have been working hard this week on my new website which has already earned me around 1000 $ within one week. The tremendous success behind this is simplicity. The website and the affiliate program is so easy and straighforward that you will understand everything once you have paid the 200 $ for the program and the 50 $ for the online training which really helps you get started and into making lots of cash. I thought this was a scam until i actually tried it and it worked, teh start was hard since you had to work some hours here and there on advertising and on promoting your website but most of the sites were free and very easy to navigate which helped me a lot. I have currently made my own website with the IPC program, for more information go to:

Earn Money Online

Start earning money right now online with the new Independent Profit Center program. I started using this some weeks ago and I have already made a huge profit, the idea is very simple yet the rewards are simply amazing.

Have you ever wondered how the top internet marketers rake in thousands of dollars per day? There are many high ticket programs online were people are paying $1000 plus dollars to join to generate the kind of income. There are hundreds of programs out there where you have to pay 1000 $ deposit and 60 $ each month which is a total scam. With Independent Profit Center you pay 200 $ for the license and other softwares included in the package and you pay 49 $ for all the necessary training, the training is so straight forward that you will immediately not regret it at all.

Start by going to my website and checking it out, any problems or if you want to find out more email me at family.birch@hotmail.com or visit my site first at www.incomeleadersonline.com

Indian Translation Agency

I came across this website whilst blogging and it caught my attention because of the home page. After browsing more I found out useful information about this agency and how it operates which is really straight forward and the layout is simple yet understandable and good.

The main aim of this agency is translation in Indian, Farsi, Arabic and English. They also do other services such as subtitling and mainly indian translations like I mentioned previously.

There aren't too many buttons and links which is ideal especially for such a website however the text is simple and often repetitive but despite these minor issues its a great agency and they also reply in less then one hour (which they stated) after having sent them an email.

Good Website,
Looking for translations in either of these languages? then go to this website:

IPHONE, out 11th July in 22 countries

New Iphone. Thinner edges, full plastic back, flush headphone jack, and the Iphone 2.0 firmware -- Apple's taking a lot of the criticisms to heart from the first time around. Obviously 3G is at the forefront, but they're also making sure it's available all over internationally, works with enterprises, runs 3rd party apps... and does it all for cheaper. Apple claims its 3G speeds trounce the competition, with pageloads 36% faster than the N95 and Treo 750 -- and of course it completely trounces the old EDGE data speeds.Battery life isn't getting put out to pasture though, with 300 hours of standby, 8-10 hours of 2G talk, 5 hours of 3G talk, 7 hours of video and 24 hours of audio. GPS is also a go. Apple is using A-GPS, which supplements regular satellite GPS data with info from cellular towers for faster location. (WiFi data is also worked into the mix, which should give users a pretty solid lock on where the heck they are on this planet.) Unfortunately, as expected there's no front-facing cam, and while its edges are thinner than before it's still about a millimeter thicker at the center (12.3mm over 11.6mm before). Apple hopes to launch in 70 countries this year, with the black 8GB going for $199 and 16GB for $299 in black or white. (Both price points require a contract, of course.) Apple will launch it in 22 countries including the US, on July 11th. More info after the break.

Food PRICE RISE

ONE of the odder features of last weekend's vote in Venezuela was that staple foods were in short supply. Something similar happened in Russia before its parliamentary election. Governments in both oil-rich countries had imposed controls on food prices, with the usual consequences. Such controls have been surprisingly widespread—a knee-jerk response to one of the most remarkable changes that food markets, indeed any markets, have seen for years: the end of cheap food.
In early September the world price of wheat rose to over $400 a tonne, the highest ever recorded. In May it had been around $200. Though in real terms its price is far below the heights it scaled in 1974, it is still twice the average of the past 25 years. Earlier this year the price of maize (corn) exceeded $175 a tonne, again a world record. It has fallen from its peak, as has that of wheat, but at $150 a tonne is still 50% above the average for 2006.

BANK TROUBLE IN EUROPE

NOT raising capital during the credit crisis has so far been a sign of strength. May it now be turning into a source of weakness? As regulators and shareholders demand a more cautious approach, the bar is being raised on what constitutes an acceptable level of protection. Banks that have resisted seeking new capital are under scrutiny, and none more so than Barclays and Deutsche Bank.
The problems and questions lie within the employees and workers in these branches, are the banks the ones to blame for the crisis? or is it also other people?

Bright lighs may hold off dementia

When it comes to Alzheimer's disease, no one yet knows the best way to halt the gradual slips in memory and other brain functions that are the hallmarks of the disease. But researchers in the Netherlands have found that a simple nonmedical intervention may be just as effective as drugs to keep elderly patients sharp.
Dementias the progressive decline is cognitive function due to damage or disease in the brain beyond what might be expected from normal aging. Although dementia is far more common in the geriatic population, it may occur in any stage of adulthood.

AIST

Fresh from its efforts to disguise solar cells as plant leaves; Japan's National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (or AIST is now boasting about some advances it's made in flexible displays, which it says will offer a whole host of benefits for e-paper-based devices.

Oil Price

In the early 1970s a fourfold rise in the price of oil almost brought the world to a standstill and a great shock. The shock of the Arab embargo left a deep mark in many countries: America subjected its cars to fuel-efficiency standards, France embraced nuclear power .

Thirty-five years on, oil prices have quadrupled again, briefly soaring to a peak of just over $135 a barrel. But, so far, this has been a slow-motion oil shock. If the Arab oil-weapon felt like a hammer-blow, this time stagnant oil output and growing emerging-market demand have squeezed the oil market like a vice. For almost five years a growing world shrugged it off. Only now is it recoiling in pain.

Tokyo Fast Food

Japan is a true fast food nation, and Tokyo's food on the run is vast and diverse, at its best a thing of genius, while at its worst it can out-affront anything the United States has to offer. A bottom-up tour gives a sense of the possibilities. You find not just the yakisoba dog, but also the potato-salad sandwich (available in vending machines too), the katsu sando (breaded pork-cutlet sandwich) and the curry pan, in essence a doughnut with a slurry of curry powder and meat gristle injected into the middle of it, irradiated for longevity.

Tokyo is growing vast... it is known for some really exquisite cuisine and really nice atmosphere but also known for some really bad services and "diarrhea" problems however Tokyo is vast growing city and the economy is rising fastly. New companies are opening up in Tokyo to get a wider market range and more interest in their products.

Burj Dubai

From today, the Burj Dubai skyscraper in the Middle East stands at 650 meters, and here's a picture (what we think it will look like). The construction has finally broken records and passed the current tallest man made structure, the Warsawa radio mast in Poland, which stands at 646 meters.

New Sony VAIO PC

The latest Sony Vaio is ‘out there’ in terms of design and unlike many "weird looking" laptops this is not a prototype. The Sony VAIO VGC-LJ25L features a 15.4in wide display but then departs from normality with a small keyboard that the company maintains will make it easy to work in narrow or confined spaces. Like working in a closet? The keyboard is quite absurd as we need big buttons to write, not these small ones that are so annoying!

New Iriver release

It took 'em a year, but iriver is finally ready to unleash its P10 touchscreen mega-PMP upon the world or at least in Korea. The player rocks an 800 x 480 4.3-inch LCD and 33GB of storage. There's also an included stylus and built-in handwriting recognition, with dictionaries for English, Chinese and Japanese. For about $312 US you can get a DMB-free unit, or spring for mobile TV at a $390-ish pricepoint, but again, those are both Korea only for the time being!.

Samsung demos 82” 2160p HDTV

We all thought FULL HD 1080 p was great no... now we have samsung testing 2160p lcd tv!

The prototype display has a massive 82” size and features a resolution of 3820x2160 pixels, which results in a total screen resolution of 8.3 megapixels. Current 1080p TVs run at 1920x1080 pixels or 2.1 megapixels. According to the manufacturer, the TV integrates a red/green/blue LED backlight, which raises the color saturation to 150%. The image refresh rate is 120 Hz.

Samsung said that it will have a few other products to show at its SID show booth, including an 82” e-board with a “multi-touchscreen” that could replace whiteboards and beam projectors, the company believes, as well as its previously announced 15” blue-phase LCD and a foldable 2.3” e-paper display.

Its crazy how the world is evolving, companies all have incredible technology but they are all waiting to release them at the right time because if not then there won't be a lot of profits, lets say samsung releases 2160p after just releasing full hd 1080p, then samsung will lose lots of money and people will get frustrated that csomething better just comes out after having bought such a nice TV.. time is the only way forward.

Prostitution- A different perspective

After the New York major incident and after we all found out that he had paid prostitues we have all come to different parts of the debate, some against it and some for it. The big question is, should prostitution be made legal like in the netherlands or should offenders be punished like in Sweden?

I think that prostitution is a growing society, a growing industry where more and more people are getting involved and in eastern countries even small girls are being put in the streets. In countries where prostitution isn't legal the owners of the prostitutes are really harsh to them and they have no medical check up or no "protection" from these people, instead they roam the streets and get paid for doing all kinds of things, they are also sometimes beaten by their owners. In the Netherlands is legal and they all get check ups and they look quite clean, whereas in Sweden whoever pays for sex will get punished by the law since its an offence against the law. What should our society do?

Change in Sports

It started with glory, fame and honor and now all that seems to be in this is “Money”. This has been heard several times, but the answer is no, sports have become more competitive and they have become so large that there is a real business in sports nowadays. Formula one driver and car companies used to earn very little money but now big companies are sponsoring them by adding logos, and symbols on their cars, television companies are also starting to earn much more money because there is a bigger demand for formula then 30 years ago. I’ am sure that you will agree with me that the rules and excitement haven’t change because of the money. Please consider looking at the world, isn’t the world growing? Aren’t there many more companies then 20 years ago? Yes, yes the world is changing at a drastic rate. Imagine a world without any sports, no football, no tennis, just imagine, would it be a better world? I am afraid that sport in overall is the most viewed on TV, and there is such much money in sports that if you eliminate them then hundreds of companies will go bankrupt and millions of fans will be very mad. I speak for you all, every voice is stronger then hundreds of voices, every single voice counts. We all know that sports are not only about money, but also about honor, fame and ambition.

Coffee Industry

America consumes one fifth of the worlds coffee but very few americans know that the people working in the fields (either in Ethiopia or Brazil) get such a bad salary that it is almost worth crying over. After having watched Black Gold I opened my eyes to a new world, this world has never been or never will be fair if we continue like this. Prices per pound is approximately 0.60-0.70 $, which is very low. There is more demand for coffee now so more coffee companies are opening up. The field workers are then paid less as the demand increases and production increases which eventually effects the price and then it falls as well as the wages for the field workers.
